Overview
Dwight B. Brock, PhD, is a Principal Statistical Associate with more than 40 years of experience in statistical sampling, estimation and variance estimation, analysis of data from complex surveys, longitudinal data analysis methods, and epidemiologic research on aging. He has worked extensively on a range of projects: served as a member of the sampling and weighting team for the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) for more than 20 years; has been the senior statistician for the Performance Outcome Measurement Project (POMP) for the AoA and the National Survey of Older Americans Act Participants for the Administration for Community Living (ACL) of AoA; and has been the senior statistician for the National Family Caregiver Support Program Outcome Evaluation for ACL. He was also the senior statistician for the analysis of data from the Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System for CDC and served as the senior longitudinal data analyst for a study of the Family Self-Sufficiency Program for HUD.
Previously, Brock was Chief of the Biometry Section, Laboratory of Epidemiology, Demography, and Biometry at the National Institute on Aging (NIA). Brock is an elected fellow of the American Statistical Association (ASA), an elected member of the International Statistical Institute (ISI), and a past president of the Washington Statistical Society (WSS).
